PFAS & Toxicology

PFAS — Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances

The emerging contaminate group, PFAS, have become a primary focus of several federal and state governments. New regulatory measures are being developed daily. We have years of experience with the chemical group and can help you keep up with and understand these changes.

  • PFAS Subject Expert. Whether it is litigation, testifying/expert witness, management, remediation, or simply advice. We aim to give our clients the support they need. Our internationally recognized expertise with PFAS is the result of nearly a decade of working with the chemical group.

Dr. Lasee was invited to publish two PFAS chapters in Wiley and Son’s encyclopedia, Patty’s Toxicology 7th edition: Short-Chain Per/Polyfluoroalkyl Acids (C7 and Below) and Selected Fluoropolymers (A Class of PFAS Polymers)

Dr. Lasee developed models for predicting exposure from plants grown in PFAS contaminated soils. Please contact us for use of an application developed to run these equations.

  • Interpret Analytical Data. Have you had soil, surface water, groundwater, etc. samples analyzed, but aren’t sure how to interpret them or if the data is high quality? We can help you with that.

  • Site or Product Assessments for PFAS Contamination. We have a knack for finding previously unknown PFAS contamination. We can also conduct site assessments with occupational exposure in mind.

Our PFAS Publications:

Short-Chain Per/Polyfluoroalkyl Acids (C7 and Below), Chapter in Patty’s Toxicology

Selected Fluoropolymers (A Class of PFAS Polymers), Chapter in Patty’s Toxicology

Targeted Analysis and Total Oxidizable Precursor Assay of Several Insecticides for PFAS

The Effects of Soil Organic Carbon Content on Plant Uptake of Soil Perfluoro Alkyl Acids (PFAAs) and the Potential Regulatory Implications

We offer a variety of services to support the scientific process.

  • Data analysis and interpretation. We offer assistance interpreting data and conducting proper statistical analysis.

  • Literature reviews and reference material. If you have a project and need quality published literature to support it, we can help you find it.

  • Study design and development. For clients who have an idea for a testing project, but need help in executing.
